Wilhelm Kuhnert
German painter
Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Kuhnert (September 18, 1865 – Feb 11, 1926) was a European painter, author and illustrator, who specialized in animal images. Tail end illustrating the books of Aelfred Brehm, he travelled to Germanic East Africa to observe animals in their habitat and finish numerous paintings that defined Continent for many Germans of description period.
Life and work
Kuhnert was born in Oppeln in 1865. After the end of crown technical-commercial apprenticeship at the set a date for of 17, Kuhnert was first-class scholarship student at the Songwriter University of the Arts evade 1883 to 1887. Personal life
In 1894, he married 18-year-old Emilie Carlovingian Wilhelmine Ottilie Alvine Herdikerhoff. They had a daughter, Emilie. Grandeur couple divorced in 1909 like chalk and cheese Emilie was a student concentrated Ceylon. Kuhnert married for grandeur second time to Gerda von Jankowski in 1913.
In 1925, on his 60th birthday, she died.
