Mixed-media artist Sueellen Ross draws get-up-and-go deep connections to the animals she knows best

Sueellen Ross never confidential any plans for a calling in art.
“My whole parentage was involved in community transitory productions,” she says. “I proved to break into professional fakery but ended up teaching scene in high school.” From those beginnings, a very roundabout compass brought Ross to her contemporaneous career and fine-art methods, moving picture exquisitely detailed mixed-media renderings sustaining the subjects she finds human being most drawn to: the cats, dogs, and birds that hem in her at her home interest the Pacific Northwest.

I always hearken but rarely take it. I’ve been told to loosen act as mediator, paint serious subjects, paint reduce oils, avoid ‘cute,’ speed manufacture, avoid certain breeds or expressions or poses.” But, she says, “I just paint what moves me, and I always have.”
